Plasma Pen Treatment

A|C|C|O|R® Cosmetic Corrector

The gentle alternative to plastic surgery.

The A|C|C|O|R® Cosmetic Corrector is a unique plasma pen device that is your alternative to skin tightening surgery and botox.

It is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a device that delivers an ionised electric arc to the skin surface to tighten and firm it. This can treat drooping eyelids, crows feet, frown lines, pigmentation, remove skin tags, and more!

Tighten your skin with a plasma pen treatment, and watch the years just roll off. No longer does it require surgical procedures to get rid of baggy skin, the plasma pen has changed the way we tackle wrinkles and loose areas of our complexion.

The cosmetic industry continues to incorporate new technology to enhance the treatments we are able to offer, and the plasma pen is one such example of technological innovation that is targeted at making you look younger – at a fraction of the cost and risk of historically popular procedures.

What is Plasma Pen Treatment?

The Plasma Pen is a relatively new treatment to the cosmetic industry. It helps tightening loose skin, while simultaneously targeting wrinkles and the natural loss of collagen we experience as we get older.

As we age, the dermal layer of our skin, which is the inner layer, starts to become thinner, producing less collagen, and thus losing its elasticity, developing wrinkles and getting generally looser.

The Plasma Pen treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that counters this aging of the dermal layer. It uses a microneedle, which burns concentrated dots into targeted areas of your skin, enabling it to shrink and regenerate itself, becoming fresh, new and smooth skin. The process also induces collagen by targeting fibroblasts – the cells responsible for producing it. These fibroblasts contribute to the tightening of your skin as it heals.

The procedure is extremely versatile, in so much that it can be applied in a variety of areas. While it is most commonly used on the face, the Plasma Pen is also extremely effective when used on the neck, forearms, hands, breasts, tummy, bum, outer thighs, knees and lowers legs.

Plasma Pen Applications

The Plasma Pen can be used to target many different concerns related to the aesthetic appearance of skin, and they are listed below:

Tightens skin

Generates new skin

Helps to create jawline definition

Removes acne and acne scars

Eliminates wrinkles and fine lines

Eradicates stretch marks

Facilitates facelift and neck lift

Tightens both upper and lower eyelids

Can be used in tattoo removal

Removes moles, blemishes, skin tags and sun spots

How does the Plasma Pen procedure work?

Plasma Pen treatment is a completely safe procedure, but you should ensure it is performed by a full qualified professional. It requires precise attention to detail and careful application, and as such it should always be performed in a controlled environment.

The procedure involves the use of pen-like device which is designed predominantly to facilitate the tightening of skin. The pen generates artificial laser heat which penetrates skin tissue, and results in the rapid contraction of the skin.

This disrupts the natural structure of the skin, and the skin fibrosis. During this process, essential components of young, healthy skin, such as elastin and collagen, are activated. Following this initial activation, skin proteins that include fibroblasts and cytokins are also activated.

Obviously in order to achieve the tightening of skin, new skin must be created, but what happens to the old dead skin? It simply naturally falls off as dried skin, which happens gradually over four to five days after treatment. There is no need to undergo any additional procedures to aid this process or to physically remove the old layers of skin, it all happens naturally after the Plasma Pen treatment is complete.

One note to add here, and a commonly asked question, is how painful is the Plasma Pen treatment? The truth here is that it varies from person to person. Some feel no pain while others can be far more sensitive to the sensation experienced during the treatment. The treatment itself is very short, and numbing cream is applied in advance of the treatment to minimise any discomfort. Before the treatment, a patch test will be completed to enable us to see how suitable the treatment is for you, and to gauge the level of discomfort you may feel. In comparison with so many other beauty treatments though, the Plasma Pen treatment is very low on pain, and within an hour of the treatment itself, there is no pain whatsoever.

Plasma Pen benefits

Firstly, for the results it brings, the fact that Plasma Pen is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure is nothing short of outstanding. The benefit of this in itself is that wherever possible, going under the knife should be avoided. The Plasma Pen treatment is fast, cost-effective and really does provide some quite astonishing results. Here are some of the other benefits of Plasma Pen treatments:

Non-surgical procedure

No chemicals are used

Super-fast, guaranteed results

Minimal side effects

Diverse applications

No pain in the recovery period

What are the risks involved in Plasma Pen treatment?

There are no risks associated with Plasma Pen treatments, aside from the tingling sensation on the skin during the procedure. Extra sensitive candidates may experience more pain than others during the procedure, and on occasion there may be some soft swelling or redness on the skin. In addition, the Plasma Pen is not suitable as a treatment for pregnant women or those that are breastfeeding. In case of an allergy to topical anesthesia, this treatment would also not be suitable.

The Plasma Pen procedure steps

Below is a breakdown of the steps involved in the Plasma Pen treatment:

1. Cleanse skin, apply topical numbing cream, allow 30 minutes waiting time for cream to fully activate.

2. Start the treatment with the Plasma Pen

3. Cleanse the skin gently removing the numbing cream

4. Apply a cooling gel to ease the tingling sensations on the skin

In total, including the numbing cream application and subsequent waiting time, the entire procedure should take approximately one hour, depending on the number of targeted areas.
